This is such a pretentious name for a room that I find it amusing!
Our living room is a long and narrow caterpillar divided in three sections. Particularities of old row houses! The entries for these three rooms are still all grouped under “living” since we still haven’t gotten around to the details.
The library is simply the second, middle fragment. It is a place of passage which simply only has bookcases and cupboards, so what else can I call it?
We were able to preserve the original medallion:
It is narrow and the darkest room in the house. We placed 4/5 of our inherited oak cupboard in it, and mirroring it an Ikea kitchen cabinet serving as a bookcase+. The steering-wheel-like chandelier is also inherited.
We just store stuff here.
